MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) won the Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. This album peaked at eighteen places on the Top Latin Albums charts. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He was a part of the team alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and next year, released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. The year 2021 was the first time he performed as a duo TINI for her viral streaming track Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a musical household his mother and older brother are both musicians. According to Turizo, music was a mandatory aspect of his daily life. He began playing the saxophone, guitar, Ukulele, and piano while when he was a child. Despite initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singer would alter the direction of his career.
